Boys & Girls Club of Story County is affiliated with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. We are the fastest growing Youth Development Agency in America with over 4,000 Clubs across the United States and on Military bases across the world.

In Story County we have a location in Ames. Our Club is located at 210 South Fifth Street. We are directly behind 20th Century Bowling on South Duff.

Our school year membership cost $12.00 with snack and dinner provided. Our summer membershp cost $35.00 with lunch and snack provided. We will never turn away a child that needs our Club. We have scholarships available for youth in need. Our goal is to keep costs as low as possible to not exclude anyone based on economic circumstances but additional fees may be charged for field trips.

We serve boys and girls ages 7 - 18 years old of all races, religions and ethnic cultures. We have an open door policy. 

Our after school hours are 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday - Friday. Our Club hours during school holidays are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (lunch not provided).

• When a snow day occurs and school is cancelled, the Club will be closed.
• When school is closed early due to weather, the Club will be open after school lets out, and will close at 5:30 p.m.

Our summer hours are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.

We offer our members a positive and productive outlet. Our dedicated youth facility is a place designed solely for youth programs and activities. We are a prevention agency in Story County. We have established goals that are simple.

1. Get "Kids off the streets" during the times they need us the most.
2. Provide kids with what they need the most.
   • A safe, fun place to be.
   • Adult staff and role models that care about them.
   • A place where a kid can be a kid.
3. Make positive life changes. We want our members to realize they have a chance to kick the streets and have a different life style then they have now.
4. We provide a variety of daily programs and activities. We have a games room,  gymnasium,  teen room, and  learning center. Our programs and activities support our five core areas: Character & Leadership, Education & Career, Health & Life Skills, The Arts, and Sports, Fitness, & Recreation.
