PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES

Boys & Girls Club of Story County encourages members to explore a wide variety of programs and activities at our Club. 

In partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, we utilize nationally tested and recognized programs that address today's most pressing youth issues and teaches our youth the skills they need to succeed in life.

Our Club offers programming in five core areas:

• Educational & Career Development
• Character & Leadership Development
• Health & Life Skills
• The Arts
• Sports, Recreation & Fitness

Our programs aim to influence the positive, cognitive, social, emotional, physical and moral development of our youth.

These efforts provide youth with the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to pursue their dreams and succeed in life. While each core program focuses on specific skills, it is the wide range of developmental opportunities and experiences that makes the Club unique and effective.  

"My Club, the Club that I Love" Contest

All of our members were encouraged to participate in a contest "My Club, the Club that I Love" for a chance to win a new bike. Only one boy and one girl would be picked to win a new bike. The bikes were donated by Sigler Company. Sigler Company has been a large supporter of the Club and our programs for many years. Everyone who participated in the contest was asked to design a poster or write a four page essay on "My Club, the Club that I Love." There was a large number of contestants which made judging hard for our staff and volunteers. Our 1st place winners were Kailee Allen and Kuol Chol. Our 2nd place winners were Nicole Aroche and Madison Milani. Both 2nd place winners received "Be Great" bucks as their prize. The "Be Great" bucks are one dollar gift certificates used by our members to purchase items at our Be Great store.
