Endowment
While much has changed for our Boys & Girls Club of Story County since 1963, we have depended heavily on annual fund contributions to sustain operations.
Gifts to the Boys & Girls Club of Story County's endowment are invested for long-term growth. While a fixed percentage of endowment assets will be spent annually, income above that percentage will be reinvested to accelerate growth. An investment committee composed of Board members and other volunteers with a strong financial background review the performance and works with outside advisors on an investment strategy. With a solid commitment to fiscal accountability, BGCSC will be able to maximize the impact our endowment will have on both current and future generations.
Endowment revenue will be used primarily to offset program and operating costs. We feel that general unrestricted endowment and named endowment funds that support specific programs and key staff positions will make a significant difference in creating a more sustainable financial model.
In 2007, our Club initiated the Latch Key Society Endowment to "Securing Our Youth's Future". The purpose of this endowment is to help secure, strengthen, and extend the long-term mission and survival of our Boys & Girls Club of Story County.
